Perfect to serve on its own or with your choice of yogurt and fruit, this healthy breakfast or afternoon snack, is sure to be everyone's new favorite.
Ingredients:
2 cups of old fashion rolled oats
1 cup of sliced almonds
1/2 cup of unsweetened coconut
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup of avocado or canola oil
1/2 cup of pure maple syrup
1/2 cup of whole wheat flour
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
2. In a large bowl mix oats, almonds, coconut and cinnamon
3. In a separate bowl mix oil, whole wheat flour, and maple syrup
4. Blend well with a whisk then pour over the oat mixture
5. Toss until oats are fully coated with syrup mixture
6. Spread out into an even layer on a half sheet pan lined with parchment paper
7. Bake in 350-degree oven for 30 to 40 minutes, or until crisp and golden
8. Brake into big chunks. If bottoms are still wet return to oven for another 10/15 or until they are completely dry

* recipe can easily be made gluten-free by subbing whole wheat flour to almond flour.
